According to the company, in the financial year 2026. Kritivasan’s total salary was Rs 28.1 crore, which is 6.3 percent more than the previous financial year. He was paid Rs 26.52 crore in FY 2025. After this information came to light, the discussion regarding corporate salary structure and earnings of top executives in the Indian IT sector has intensified.
In what form was the salary of Rs 28 crore received?
There are several components involved in the total salary that K Krithivasan receives. According to the company’s annual report:

That means overall he got a package of Rs 28.1 crore in the financial year 2026. The company said that the ratio between the CEO’s salary and the average salary of the employees was 332.8 times. This figure shows the salary difference between top management and average employees in a company.
COO Aarti Subramaniam’s salary also in discussion
Aarthi Subramanian, who is the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), also received a total compensation of Rs 18.33 crore in FY26. This included his basic salary of around Rs 1.5 crore. Employees got an average increment of 5.1%
Tata Consultancy Services also said in its report that the salary of employees was increased by an average of 5.1 percent during the financial year 2026. According to the company, junior and mid-level employees got increments ranging from 4.5% to 7%. Better performing employees were given double digit salary increases. The total increase, including promotions and additional benefits, was between 5% and 8%.
TCS also said that the total number of employees in the company is 5,84,519, making it among the companies with the largest IT workforce in the world.
Non-executive directors get sitting fees
The payments received by the board members are also mentioned in the company’s annual report. Tata Consultancy Services pays its non-executive directors a sitting fee of ₹30,000 per meeting to attend board and committee meetings. In addition, they are also paid commission under the provisions of the Companies Act, which is within the limit of 1 percent of the net profit of the company. This payment is made after the approval of the shareholders.
