The Eurovision 2026 winner has already been "sealed" after an incredible performance tonight. Australia has never produced a winner across its 11 years of participation in the international song contest, but that could change tonight after Delta Goodrem took to the stage. Fans are confident that streak will come to an end in Vienna on Saturday night after being captivated by pop star Delta's rendition of Eclipse. The 41 year old took to the stage as the eighth act of the evening in the Austrian capital, with UK commentator Graham Norton harbouring lofty expectations.
The broadcaster declared Delta would be the one to beat prior to her appearance on stage. She exceeded all expectations with a commanding performance that electrified the thousands in the arena. Graham observed the audience reaction and suggested Delta would prove difficult to surpass. He said: "If the audience could crown a winner right now, they would give it Australia. I hope her star power doesn't go against her."
Viewers on social media platform X shared the sentiment, arguing the overwhelming response in the venue was a clear indication that Delta will prevail, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Tom added: "SHE HAS WON SURELY! Go on Delta!" Dari said: "AUSTRALIA YES CHILLS MY GIRL IM CRYING SHES GORGEOUS AND DESERVES TO WIN."
ESCVikiing posted: "The audience is going crazy after Australia" Freddie posted: "My dad sat next to me just said "Wow might as well just give the trophy to her now" YESSSSSSSSS DELTA WE LOVE YOU."

Voting remains open throughout the Grand Final, with the winner set to be revealed later this evening.
Despite not being geographically located in Europe, Australia has taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest on 10 occasions since making its debut in 2015.
Australia's involvement in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 was originally intended as a one-off entry, with a return only feasible if the nation secured victory. However, in November 2015, SVT confirmed that Australia would compete again in 2016, and the country has been a permanent participant in the competition ever since.
The event regularly delivers strong television ratings for Special Broadcasting Service and has developed a large and dedicated following across Australia.
Due to the contest being staged in Europe, Australian broadcasts generally air at around 5:00 a.m. AEST because of the time zone difference. Eurovision also receives considerable attention from mainstream Australian media and maintains a passionate cult following among devoted fans each year.
