Finn Allen's explosive 93 off 35 balls powered Kolkata Knight Riders to a massive 247/2 at Eden Gardens. After Ajinkya Rahane departed early for 14, Allen took complete charge, smashing 10 sixes at a strike rate of 265.71. He brought up his fifty in just 21 balls and stitched a 95-run stand with Angkrish Raghuvanshi to put Gujarat Titans under immense pressure.

 

Raghuvanshi continued the momentum after Allen's dismissal, remaining unbeaten on 82 off 44 deliveries with seven sixes. Cameron Green added the finishing touch with a quickfire 52* off 28 balls as the duo added an unbeaten 108-run partnership in only 49 deliveries. KKR crossed the 200-run mark in 16.6 overs and hammered 57 runs in the final four overs.

 

In reply, Gujarat Titans fought through Shubman Gill's 85 off 49 and Jos Buttler's 57 off 35. Sai Sudharsan also returned after retiring hurt to score an unbeaten 53 off 28. However, Sunil Narine's two wickets and KKR's relentless scoring pressure kept Gujarat behind the asking rate despite crossing 200.
