What did veteran actor Kamal Haasan say?
Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has posted an open letter on his social media handle. In it, he has mentioned some important points for the good functioning of the cinema industry in this difficult period, and it is hoped that all the filmmakers of the country will understand these points and take them to heart.
Actor Kamal Haasan says, “There is an atmosphere of war in the countries of West Asia. This is affecting the economy of the country and fuel, energy, transport and production costs are increasing worldwide. This is definitely affecting our Indian cinema industry as well. But the cost of making films in the country is increasing. Sometimes unnecessary money is being spent on making films.”
Kamal Haasan has clearly said that the burden of this financial stress should not fall on workers, technicians or hard working employees. They stated that there should be no reduction in their salary, security, food, travel or accommodation facilities. Instead, he said that the film industry needs to reduce unnecessary expenses. In particular, he called for control of large entourages, unnecessary shooting abroad, delays, lavish spending and ostentation. “Why does every love story have to blossom in Paris?” Questioning this, he also suggested to have more faith in the beautiful locations of India.
