JEE Advanced 2026 on May 17, candidates must keep these things in mind, guidelines issued

IIT Roorkee JEE Advanced (JEE Advanced 2026) is going to be organized on May 17 in two shifts. Admit card and necessary guidelines have been issued. Candidates will have to take special care of time and rules. Paper-1 will be conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Whereas Paper-2 will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Duration of each paper will be 3 hours.

Candidates have to be present in the examination hall for the duration of each paper. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before 12:00 pm for Paper-1 and 5:30 pm for Paper-2. Both the papers will be compulsory. Identity verification of the candidates will be done before entry into the examination hall. Before this, everyone will also be examined. Entry with prohibited items will not be allowed.

These documents will be needed

Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall only with the printed copy of the downloaded admit card. Apart from this, they will also have to bring a valid original photo identity card like Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Driving License, College or School ID, Aadhar Card.

take special care of time

Entry into the examination centers will start from 7:00 am. Candidates are advised to appear on time. The gates for Paper-1 will be closed at 9:00 am and for Paper-2 at 2:30 pm.

dress code

Candidates are advised not to wear any amulets or articles made of metal like ring, bracelet, earring, nose pin, chain/necklace, pendant, badge etc. on the day of examination. Do not wear clothes with big buttons. It is advisable to wear slippers or sandals. Avoid wearing shoes.

These things will be banned

Only pen, pencil, transparent water bottle, admit card and original photo identity card will be allowed to enter the examination hall. Apart from this, any other item will be banned. In which entry with watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, pen drives, log tables, writing pads, scales, pouches, handbags, cameras, glasses and other electronic gadgets, communication devices or written materials will not be allowed.
