An attempted robbery at a jewellery shop in Maharashtra’s Nashik district was foiled after employees bravely fought back against armed robbers despite being threatened with pistols.

The incident took place on Friday night at New Samruddhi Jewellers in the Hirawadi area of Nashik, police officials said.

According to an NDTV report, four masked robbers barged into the shop at around 9 PM while three employees were working inside and attempted to loot the premises.



CCTV Shows Robbers Threatening Staff With Gun

CCTV footage of the incident captured the dramatic moments as the robbers entered the jewellery shop wearing caps, masks and helmets to conceal their identities.

One of the accused was seen pulling out a pistol and pointing it directly at the employees in an attempt to intimidate them.

The footage, cited by NDTV, showed one employee trying to take cover while two others confronted the attackers and resisted the robbery attempt.

Jewellery Shop Employees Fight Back Against Robbers

Despite the armed threat, the two employees engaged the robbers in a fierce physical struggle inside the shop.

Working together, the staff members managed to overpower the attackers’ plan and forced the gang to flee the premises before they could carry out the robbery.

The confrontation reportedly lasted several moments and created panic inside the store.

Employee Suffers Serious Head Injuries During Clash

During the altercation, one of the robbers repeatedly struck an employee on the head using the butt of a pistol.

The injured employee sustained serious injuries and was later admitted to the District Government Hospital for medical treatment.

Police said his condition is being monitored.

Police Launch Investigation After Failed Robbery Attempt

Following the incident, police teams reached the jewellery shop and began analysing CCTV footage from the store and nearby areas.

Authorities have launched a manhunt to trace and arrest the accused involved in the attempted robbery.

Officials said multiple investigation teams have been formed as efforts continue to identify the masked attackers.
