×The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday announced the allocation of portfolios among ministers, with key departments divided across senior and newly designated ministers, according to a statement issued by the Lok Bhavan.
According to the statement, Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will oversee an extensive set of portfolios including Public, General Administration, Home, Police, Special Programme Implementation, Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply, Women and Youth Welfare, Welfare of Children, Aged and Differently Abled Persons, along with services related to the IAS, IPS, IFS and District Revenue Officers.

N Anand has been assigned Rural Development and Water Resources, while Aadhav Arjuna will head the Public Works and Sports Development departments.
Dr K G Arunraj has been entrusted with Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, and K A Sengottaiyan has been designated Finance Minister.
P Venkataramanan has been allocated Food and Civil Supplies, while R Nirmalkumar will handle Energy Resources and Law.

Rajmohan has been given charge of School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Publicity. Dr T K Prabhu will oversee Natural Resources, and Selvi S Keerthana has been assigned Industries.
The portfolio allocation comes days after Vijay took oath as the 13th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in a major political shift that ended the decades-long dominance of the DMK and AIADMK in the state.
TVK emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded Assembly elections, winning 108 seats. Though short of the majority mark of 118, the party secured support from the Congress, VCK, Left parties and IUML to form the government.
