Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Gujarat starting today (May 16), where he will participate in various meetings and events in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. At 10:00 am today, he will hold an important meeting with the Municipal Commissioner and senior officials of the Municipal Corporation at the South West Zone office located near the Karnavati Club on the SG Highway. This meeting will discuss tree plantation, development works, interlinking of ponds, and their renovation under the "Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Hariyali Lok Sabha" initiative.

Discussion on development works of the SG Highway and Mansa Municipality

The Union Home Minister will hold a meeting with Municipal Corporation officials regarding the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in the afternoon, with a specific focus on the development of the SG Highway. Additionally, officials will review the ponds, hospitals, and other public welfare projects in Mansa Municipality, which falls under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. State Minister for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi is also expected to be present at this high-level review meeting.

First visit after election victory and review of various projects

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting Gujarat for the first time following the BJP's historic victory in the recent assembly elections in Assam, Puducherry, and West Bengal. On May 16th, he will chair a review meeting of various ongoing development projects in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. Special meetings have also been scheduled regarding the functioning of government hospitals in the constituency and the work of 'Akhand Anand' and 'Sastu Sahitya Mudralaya Trust'.

Meeting with newly elected councilors and campaign in-charges

The Home Minister will interact with the in-charges and co-in-charges of the toy collection campaign under the unique campaign "Ramshe Balak - Khileshe Balak" (Child will play - Child will bloom) being run in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. In addition, he will also pay courtesy calls to the newly elected councilors of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation from the Ghatlodia, Vejalpur, Sabarmati, and Naranpura assembly constituencies and discuss various issues with them.

Madhur Dairy's new plant and IT park to be inaugurated on May 17th

On the second day of his visit, May 17th, Amit Shah will inaugurate the "Million Minds Tech Park" IT and Global Capability Center built by Ganesh Housing in Tragad, Ahmedabad. He will also inaugurate a state-of-the-art 5 lakh liter capacity plant built by Madhur Dairy in Dashela, Gandhinagar district, the inauguration of NID's Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) at Infocity, and the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various development projects of the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.
