Tezzbuzz Desk-Often there is leftover rice after dinner and one does not feel like eating it again the next day. In such a situation, most people do not understand what to do with the leftover rice. If there is often leftover rice in your house, then there is no need to throw it away. You can prepare very tasty and creamy Kulfi from this rice.
The special thing is that it does not take much effort to make this recipe and its taste is liked by everyone from children to adults. With the help of milk, sugar and some simple ingredients, you can make market-like Kulfi at home.
Ingredients required to make Kulfi
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 500 ml full cream milk
- sugar as per taste
- 2 spoons condensed milk
- half teaspoon cardamom powder
- Dry fruits as per requirement
- kulfi mold or small cup
for flavor
- chocolate syrup or cocoa powder
- Mango Pulp or Mango Crush
Prepare kulfi base like this
First of all, add remaining rice and some milk in the mixer and make a smooth paste. Now heat milk in a pan and add prepared rice paste into it.
Cook this mixture on low flame while stirring continuously so that it thickens well. When the mixture starts to look a little creamy, add sugar and condensed milk into it.
After this, add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits and cook for a few more minutes. Now your kulfi base is completely ready.
Make kulfi in two different flavors
If you want to make Kulfi more interesting, then you can prepare two different flavors of it. Add chocolate syrup or cocoa powder to half of the base. Add mango pulp or mango crush to the remaining portion. Mix both the mixtures well and fill it in kulfi mold or small cup.
Freeze it in the fridge and enjoy chilled kulfi.
Now keep the prepared mixture in the freezer for 6 to 8 hours. When the kulfi sets well, dip the mold in lukewarm water and take out the kulfi. Serve with dry fruits on top and enjoy delicious homemade kulfi.
This recipe not only tastes great but is also a great way to reuse leftover food, preventing food waste and giving the family a new and tasty dessert.
