In the final phase, Shivam Dube (32* off 16) and Prashant Veer ensured a strong finish, pushing CSK to a competitive total. For LSG, Akash Maharaj Singh was the pick of the bowlers with 3/26 in four overs.
In response, Lucknow Super Giants chased down the target comfortably, reaching 188/3 in 16.4 overs. Mitchell Marsh led the charge with a blistering 90 off 38 balls, including nine fours and seven sixes, and shared a dominant 135-run opening partnership in just 70 balls with Josh Inglis. Nicholas Pooran then finished the chase in style with an unbeaten 32 off 17 deliveries.
CSK’s bowlers struggled to contain the aggressive batting, and the result pushed Chennai Super Kings down to sixth place in the standings, while Lucknow Super Giants remained at the bottom with four wins from 12 matches.
