Chen, 67, said her 39-year-old son Jonathan had become unmotivated, reluctant to work, distant from his family and more short-tempered after entering the relationship in a recent social media video, The Star reported.
“[His girlfriend] is a burden. I won’t meet or acknowledge this kind of woman. Even if you get married, I still won’t accept it,” she said.

Chen also said her expectations for a daughter-in-law are not based on appearance or family background but on whether the woman can help her son become a better person.
Chen is known to have a close relationship with Taiwanese actress Bea Hayden, who has been married to her elder son Jacky for six years.
She previously praised Hayden, 42, for her calm and positive personality, saying it encouraged Jacky, also 42, to become more motivated in life.
Charles has also publicly expressed trust in Hayden, saying he and Chen plan to have her manage the family fortune, reportedly worth more than US$6.1 billion, amid concerns over their younger son’s spending habits.
According to local news outlet HK01Jonathan has long been a concern for both Chen and his father, film producer Charles Heung. In 2015, he was sentenced to six months in prison for assaulting a taxi driver.
Chen later said Jonathan had been spoiled while growing up and that unrestricted financial support contributed to his dependency issues.
In Feb. 2026, Tiffany reportedly blocked Jonathan across all communication platforms, and both parents refused to meet him in person. Reports said communication with Jonathan is now handled through a secretary while he receives only a basic monthly allowance.
Earlier this month, Jonathan was photographed at a bar in Nanchang City, China, where his girlfriend was seen smoking and drinking.
Chen, 67, is the second wife of 78-year-old Heung, founder of Win’s Entertainment and later China Star Entertainment, one of Hong Kong’s best-known film production companies. The company played a major role in the careers of stars including Chow Yun Fat, Stephen Chow, Andy Lau and Johnnie To.
