New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh High Court has given its verdict in Dhar Bhojshala case on Friday. The Indore bench of the High Court, while giving its verdict, said that this complex is a Hindu temple. The High Court has given its verdict on the petition filed on the demand of the Hindu side. It has come to light that the High Court said that the original form of the Bhojshala was that of a Sanskrit education centre. Expressing confidence on the ASI survey and scientific studies, the court said that archeology is a science and the court can rely on scientific findings.

The court said that it is the constitutional responsibility of the government to preserve structures of historical and archaeological importance. The court also said that it is the responsibility of the government to ensure basic facilities, law and order and protection for the devotees. The Muslim side has been given permission to approach the government for separate land in Dhar district for Namaz. The court has asked the Central Government and ASI to take decisions to the management of the Bhojshala complex and Sanskrit education. ASI will continue the overall administration and management of the complex.

The Hindu community considers Bhojshala as a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, while Muslims call it Kamal Maula Masjid. In July 2024, ASI had submitted its scientific survey report of the disputed Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque Complex to the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court. Let us tell you that according to a system that has been in place for the last several years, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) protects this structure. The ASI had given Hindus the right to worship at Bhojshala every Tuesday, while Muslims were allowed to offer namaz on Fridays.
