Stunt rider Jasmine Jackson Lloyd, who worked on BBC's long running sci-fi drama Doctor Who and the period drama Gentleman Jack, died suddenly on April 10. The news was confirmed on her official Instagram page. Alongside a picture of the star was written: "So sorry to have to let everyone know, tragically Jasmine passed away on the 10th of April... It is such a shock and difficult time for her family and everyone who was involved in her life. Jasmine suffered from mental health issues and battled addiction for years until it finally got the better of her. She always tried her best no matter the circumstances and brought joy wherever she went. Jasmine will forever be missed but never forgotten.
The post continued sharing her funeral details encouraging people to "carry a small bunch of foliage or flowers". It added: "Anything goes for the dress code, especially encouraged are sparkles, sequins, feathers, lace, fur and bright colours. Please be mindful and respectful."
The talented star also found big screen success working on The Batman in 2022 and Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves in 2023, in which she doubled for Michelle Rodriguez in riding scenes.
Alongside her riding work she was also a brown belt kickboxer, climbing instructor, a scuba divemaster and an aerialist and fire performer.
Her final instagram post was 11 weeks ago when she shared a TikTok video to the platform of her with her motocross bike. she captioned it: "Apologies in advance for all the incoming bike spam. What's your guys' favourite smell? #motorcross #moto #motogirl #motorcrosslife
Tributes flooded in as friends, fans and followers commented on the post: "I'm so sorry. We never met, but she was an inspiration to so many women and riders like myself. What an incredible person and what tragic events. I am absolutely heartbroken and I never even knew her. My heart is with her family and those close to her," one wrote.
"I'm so so sorry to hear this. I knew her growing up, and thought she was just the coolest girl I'd ever met! I have fond memories of antics at youth club and visiting her house. Rest in peace Jasmine, I hope your suffering has ended and you have found quiet in the storm," another added.
A third chimed in: "This is devastating. Sending all my love to the family xxx."
A fourth shared: "We never managed to wakeboard behind a horse on the Newborough shoreline together ,with you riding Jasmine. But I'll always remember you and your attitude towards making these things adventures up. Rest assured you've inspired so many. I'm so sorry you had to leave this early."
A fifth commented: "RIP Jasmine. Was a pleasure working with you." Meanwhile a sixth simply wrote: "Condolences to all the family and friends," with a heart emoji.
