Bhubaneswar: The weekly ‘Jan Abhiyog Sunani’ (Public Grievance Hearing) programme chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi in Odisha capital will remain suspended on May 18 and May 25.
According to an official release from the General Administration and General Grievance Department, the hearings scheduled for the coming Monday (May 18) and the following Monday (May 25) have been cancelled in view of the prevailing hot and humid conditions across the state.
The date for the next public grievance hearing will be announced later through the media and other public communication channels.
This is the latest in a series of disruptions to the Chief Minister’s flagship public outreach programme due to extreme summer temperatures. The April 27 hearing, which was to be held from 7 am to 12 noon after a gap of more than two months, was also postponed in view of the sweltering heat prevailing across Odisha.
The 17th public grievance hearing was held on February 10 and subsequent hearings had to be cancelled since the Assembly was in session.
The grievance cell, located at Unit-V in Bhubaneswar, allows citizens to directly present their issues before the Chief Minister. They are required to register through Janasunani portal or the Janasunani mobile application to request a meeting with CM Majhi.
