Cricketer Ishan Kishan, who bats brilliantly, met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday (May 15, 2026). Ishan Kishan of Patna was honored by Samrat Chaudhary by giving him a check of Rs 1 crore. Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit was also present on this occasion.
Ishan Kishan played an important role in making Team India the world champion in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The Chief Minister not only gave a check of Rs 1 crore but also wished him all the best for the future. Ishan Kishan’s mother Suchitra Singh and other family members were also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has posted pictures on X. It is written, “Member of the winning Indian cricket team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, brilliant batsman, son of Bihar, Shri Ishan Kishan ji was honored by the state government with an amount of Rs 1 crore for his significant contribution in winning the World Cup. Best wishes for a successful cricket career, keep bringing glory to Bihar.”
Let us tell you that the final match of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 was held on March 8. New Zealand had decided to field first after winning the toss. Along with Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma scored half centuries in a stormy manner. Ishan Kishan had scored 54 runs. Team India’s total score in the match was 255.
Earlier, the then Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar had also congratulated Ishan Kishan. When Ishaan was coming to his home in Patna after the match, then Sports Minister of Bihar Government, Shreyasi Singh had gone to Patna Airport to welcome him. Ishaan was welcomed with a bouquet and encouraged. Now CM Samrat has given a check of Rs 1 crore to Ishan Kishan.
