Sky News presenter Danica De Giorgio took a savage swipe at Meghan Markle's latest promotional video for her lifestyle brand As Ever. During an appearance on The Kenny Report hosted by Chris Kenny he brought up the Duchess of Sussex. Describing her as "somebody who is actually having a good time and isn't hard up for a bit of cash" he explained: "This is Meghan Markle, she's been out posing in a t-shirt with an $87,000 (Australian dollars) diamond necklace. Does she need a tax break?" he asked.

Laughing De Giorgio said: "Oh, I think she could do with a tax break. I think...we could all do it with a break from Meghan Markle, to be quite frank," she said before continuing sarcastically: "But she's the everyday woman, of course, Chris. She's got a T-shirt on, but an expensive necklace at the same time," she said as clips from the the video, which appears on Meghan's social media as well as on the brand's website homepage, ran on screen.

"Oh, there she is, eating her strawberries as well. She's the everyday woman, Chris, isn't she?" she quipped at one scene.

Journalist Justin Smith who was also contributing to the show joked: "What's the point of being a duchess if you can't bling it up every now and then?

"I would say, I would say she's got a little change coming. If she paid $87,000 for that! I must be in the wrong game. I must start making jewellery."

The film features soft-focus garden imagery, close-ups of fruit and flowers, and Meghan herself preparing and enjoying products from the range, including marmalades and spreads.

It highlighted products already available through As Ever, including fruit spreads, teas, and candles.

In the video, the mum of two wore a series of neutral-toned outfits, including casual jeans and a floor-length white gown paired with a white blazer. In the scene with the necklace she is infusing a cup of tea while wear a casual t-shirt with the expensive jewllery.

In a joint post shared by Meghan and the brand, the caption read: "Welcome to the World of As ever.

"What began with fruit from Meghan's garden, simmered into preserves in her home kitchen, has inspired our curated collections to bring surprise and delight to your everyday."
