Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Recruitment Updates: The MPSC has revised its recruitment procedures by removing the options for candidates to express 'commitment' and 'consent' regarding their selection status. This change took effect on Wednesday.
The Commission stated that the 'commitment' option was previously available to allow candidates on the selection list to voluntarily withdraw from the recruitment process. However, this option has been eliminated to enhance the efficiency of the recruitment process.
Modifications to Recruitment Rules
In a recent meeting, the Commission decided that the options for 'commitment' and 'consent' will no longer be part of any MPSC examinations.
Additionally, while a 'waiting list' will still be provided for single-cadre positions, there will be no waiting list for multi-cadre recruitment processes.
Moreover, in the case of multi-cadre recruitment, if a candidate has been assigned a position and subsequently includes the same or a lower-ranking position in their preferences, they will not be eligible for re-selection or recommendation for those specific roles.
