A new set leak from the film King showed Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan in a strong villain-style avatar during shooting in Mumbai.
The leaked image had surfaced online while filming of the big action project continued after its South Africa schedule. In the picture, Abhishek was seen holding a shotgun while standing on a vehicle in an outdoor location.
The viral visual had spread quickly on social media, even as the makers had not released any official look from the film.
Earlier, similar leaked photos and videos of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone from the South Africa shoot had also appeared online.
Following repeated leaks, director Siddharth Anand had asked fans not to share any unofficial visuals from the sets.
“The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support, and cooperation,” he wrote.
Reports had stated that King included several major stars in key roles and had been shot across multiple international locations. The film was expected to feature large- scale action sequences and high production value.
The movie had been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures and was scheduled for release on December 24.
