Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets on the strength of Virat Kohli’s storming century. In the match played in Raipur on Wednesday (13th), RCB won the toss and decided to bat first. KKR scored 192 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs on the strength of Angkrishna Raghuvanshi’s half-century. In reply, RCB won the match by 194 runs for the loss of four wickets in 19.1 overs. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli completed the ninth century of his IPL career. He remained unbeaten on 105 runs. Due to this win, RCB reached the top position in the points table with 16 points. Which makes RCB’s place in the playoffs almost certain. But, RCB’s victory has completely changed the playoff qualification equation. Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants are officially out of the IPL 2026 playoff race. On the other hand, no other team has qualified for the playoffs. There are only 13 matches left in the league stage. The hopes of RCB, GT, SRH, PBKS, CSK, RR, DC and KKR are still alive, but the fate of some of these teams depends on the results of other teams.

Which team has a chance to make the playoffs?

Royal Challengers Bangalore- RCB scored 16 points and 1. With a net run rate of 053, they have topped the points table. RCB have won 8 out of 12 matches. So RCB’s qualification is almost certain.

Gujarat Titans– GT has won eight out of 12 matches, finishing second in the points table with 16 points. Therefore, there is a possibility that Gujarat will secure its position in the top-4.

Sunrisers Hyderabad– SRH have won 7 out of 12 matches and are third in the points table with 14 points. Therefore, the probability of SRA reaching the playoffs is predicted to be 77 percent.

Punjab Kings– After winning 6 out of 11 matches, Punjab are fourth in the points table with 13 points. Therefore, the probability of PBKS reaching the playoffs is 63.6 percent.

Chennai Super Kings– The Csk team is still in the race for the playoffs. They are fifth with 12 points after winning 6 out of 11 matches. Therefore, the possibility of CSK qualifying cannot be ruled out.

Rajasthan Royals– RR have won 6 out of 11 matches and collected 12 points. It is currently at the sixth position in the points table. RR has a 53 percent chance of qualifying in the top-4 with a bang.

Kolkata Knight Riders– KKR’s chances of playoff qualification have been reduced by the loss to RCB. Even if they win all the remaining matches, they can only reach 15 points.

Delhi Capitals– Like Kolkata, DC’s chances of reaching the playoffs are very low. Delhi have won 5 out of 12 matches and got 10 points.
