During this time, the board also had talks with England’s famous bowling coach Stephen Jones. According to reports, the discussions between the two parties had reached quite far, but at present the matter could not be finalized. After this, BCCI started focusing on Indian coaches instead of foreign options.

Now there are reports that former Indian fast bowlers VRV Singh and Lakshmipathy Balaji may be included in the coaching staff of the Center of Excellence. in the month of february bcci had invited applications for a total of 10 new coaching posts and now the selection process has reached its final stage. It is believed that after the end of IPL 2026, an official decision can be taken on these names.
According to the report of Cricbuzz, experienced coach P Krishnakumar, who has done excellent work with the Jammu and Kashmir team, may get the responsibility of bowling coach in the BCCI Center of Excellence. Krishnakumar is credited with developing fast bowlers like Umran Malik, Yudhveer Singh and Aaqib Nabi. At the same time, the name of former Karnataka all-rounder Yere Gaur is being said to be at the forefront as batting coach. 54-year-old Gaur played 134 first-class and 49 List A matches in his career. Apart from this, former Indian women cricketer Sunetra Paranjape is also likely to be included in the batting coaching setup.
Dishant Yagnik’s name is considered almost certain for the role of fielding coach. Yagnik at present Kolkata Knight Riders He is working as a fielding coach with Rajasthan Royals and has also been a part of Rajasthan Royals before this. However, in the case of foreign coach Stephen Jones, the picture is not completely clear yet. 52-year-old Jones was recently seen associated with a private coaching project in Hyderabad, due to which discussions are still going on about his name.
