Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) ship SIMI was spotted in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday after briefly switching off its transponder while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, another LPG ship NV Sunshine did something similar while passing through the Strait of Hormuz. According to reports, the ship NV Sunshine, loaded with LPG from Ruwais Refinery in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), was last seen heading towards Mangalore, India. Meanwhile, SIMI is carrying fuel from Ras Laffan port in Qatar to Kandla in Gujarat.

Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump said the ceasefire with Iran was “life support” However, this indicates that the conflict between the two countries is continuing and disputes remain over many issues such as stopping Iran’s nuclear program and control of the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump rejected Iran’s proposal

Apart from this, Trump had recently declared the peace proposal sent by Iran as unacceptable. In a post on social media platform Truth Social, the US President said he had reviewed the response submitted by Iran through its representatives and expressed dissatisfaction with the proposal. According to reports, Iran has responded to the latest US peace initiative through Pakistan, which is playing the role of mediator between Tehran and Washington.
