Development of health services in Gurugram

Gurugram, 14 May. Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research Minister Aarti Singh Rao on Thursday took important steps towards the development of health services in Gurugram district. He inaugurated various health projects costing about ₹2.86 crore in the presence of MLA Bimla Chaudhary. The minister said that Gurugram is the most populous district of the state, hence expansion of health services here is the priority of the government. Their aim is that villagers do not have to go far for first aid.


New diagnostic hub in Helimandi

‘Diagnostic Hub’ opened in Helimandi

The Health Minister inaugurated the Block Public Health Unit (BPHU) built at a cost of ₹50 lakh at Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital Helimandi. This unit will act as an important diagnostic hub for Pataudi block. Now local patients will get the facility of essential tests like Hemoglobin (HB), Blood Sugar (RBS), Dengue, Malaria and Blood Group in this hospital. This will not only save the time of the patients, but will also eliminate the expenses incurred on private labs.

New sub health centers in villages

Three new buildings were inaugurated to ensure access to health services in rural areas. New sub health centers have been established at a cost of ₹89.45 lakh in village Chandu, ₹81.89 lakh in Noorgarh and ₹64.83 lakh in Mahachana. Aarti Singh Rao said that a new Primary Health Center (PHC) in Baghanki and a new Sub Health Center in Ghamdoj are also under construction. The opening of these centers will improve the quality of maternal-child vaccination and first aid in rural areas.


Daulatabad and Wazirabad will be upgraded to CHC

The government has decided to upgrade two important health centers in the district. PHC Daulatabad and PHC Wazirabad will now be converted into Community Health Centers (CHC). After upgrading, the number of beds in these hospitals will increase and specialist doctors will be deployed. Apart from this, a proposal has been made in the budget to establish three new PHCs in Ransika, Rithoj and Sidharwali and 8 new sub centers in the district. The Health Minister directed the officials that the quality of all construction works should be of high standard and strict action should be taken against those who are negligent.
