Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) crushed KKR in a high-scoring thriller which took place at Raipur during match 57 of IPL 2026. The victory allowed the defending champions to surpass Gujarat Titans and take back the first position in the 10-team points table.
RCB achieved a strong net run rate of 1.053 while Rajat Patidar and his team reached 16 points from 12 matches. After winning against KKR, RCB will now face their remaining IPL 2026 matches.
RCB has achieved eight victories and four losses through 12 games which Rajat Patidar leads. The defending champions hold the top position in the IPL 2026 standings because they have achieved an impressive NRR of 1.053.
The RCB team achieved confident victories during their initial week of competition when they defeated both SRH and CSK. The team began their match against Rajasthan Royals with a loss but they achieved two consecutive victories which brought their total match wins to four out of five matches.
The team experienced a home defeat against Delhi Capitals but they succeeded in winning two games against Gujarat Titans and Capitals while playing away. The team from Royal Challengers Bangalore experienced two consecutive losses against GT and LSG. The team achieved a strong recovery by winning their most recent two games against Mumbai Indians and KKR.

RCB has already secured their playoff spot for the IPL 2026 season because they have 16 points from 12 matches which historically has been sufficient to achieve top-four standings in previous seasons.
RCB needs to extend their winning streak while they aim to secure one of the top two positions which will enable them to participate in Qualifier 1. If Rajat Patidar’s team loses their initial playoff match then they will still have another opportunity to compete through Qualifier 2.

RCB has the potential to achieve 20 points through winning their upcoming matches while they maintain their position as league leaders. The team needs only one victory to reach 18 points which will guarantee them a top-two position before the playoffs.
RCB can still make the playoffs if they lose their upcoming matches but this depends on multiple other match outcomes going against them.
