Trump’s claim fails: 30 missile sites remain active, Iran has strengthened its fortifications

New Delhi. US President Donald Trump has consistently claimed that Iran’s military power is virtually decimated, but new intelligence reports have raised serious questions about these claims. A secret assessment by US intelligence agencies has revealed that Iran still maintains access to most of its missile sites and military infrastructure.

According to the report, 30 of Iran’s 33 missile sites around the Strait of Hormuz are still active or partially operational. This is the region through which approximately 20% of the world’s oil supply passes. If tensions escalate again, US warships and oil tankers could remain at risk.

Intelligence reports indicate that Iran still retains approximately 70 percent of its mobile missile launchers and nearly 70 percent of its pre-war missile stockpile, including ballistic missiles capable of striking targets across the Middle East. Furthermore, approximately 90 percent of Iran’s underground missile storage and launch facilities are believed to be partially or fully operational again.

Trump claims Iranian missiles have been destroyed!
The US intelligence report comes at a time when President Trump and his ministers have consistently claimed that Iran’s military has been severely devastated. In March, Trump claimed that Iran has no military power left. Its army, navy, and air force have all been destroyed. Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also stated that the joint US-Israeli operation has left Iran unfit to fight for years.

However, new reports paint a stark contrast to these claims. According to US officials, in many locations, the strategy employed was to simply close entry points rather than destroy the entire underground system, due to the US’s limited stock of bunker-buster weapons.

What weapons did the US use?
During the war, the US used approximately 1,100 long-range cruise missiles, over 1,000 Tomahawk missiles, and over 1,300 Patriot interceptors. According to reports, these weapons stocks depleted rapidly, and replenishing them could take years.

This is why America’s allies are also concerned. European countries fear that if a major war with Iran breaks out again, the US will reserve its weapons stockpiles for itself, and supplies to countries like Ukraine could be affected.

White House on a different line!
Meanwhile, the White House remains firm on its previous stance. White House spokeswoman Olivia Wells said that those who believe Iran has rebuilt its military power are “either delusional or feeding Iranian propaganda.” However, these reports have sparked renewed debate about the Trump administration’s strategy and the consequences of the war.

Especially since there have been sporadic clashes between the two sides during the ceasefire. If conflict were to resurface, the US could be forced to resort to heavy military action, even though Iran is still not completely weakened. Meanwhile, Iran continues to maintain its grip on the Strait of Hormuz. This is why global oil markets, US military preparations, and Middle East politics remain preoccupied with the next steps in this conflict.
