During summer, the body loses water and electrolytes rapidly through sweat. *Curd contains 80-85% water*, which helps in controlling body temperature. Apart from this, the *calcium and protein* present in it not only strengthens the bones but also provides instant energy to the body. According to the city’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO), consuming a bowl of fresh curd at lunch can reduce the risk of heatstroke by 40%.
