DA of government employees increased in Bihar, got approval in the cabinet!

Bihar government has increased the DA of government employees. This has been approved in the Bihar Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Now under the seventh centrally revised pay structure in Bihar, employees will get 60 percent DA instead of 58 percent.
At the same time, the allowance of those in the sixth pay scale has been increased from 257 percent to 262 percent and that of those in the fifth pay scale has been increased from 474 percent to 483 percent. This increase will be effective from January 1, 2026. A total of 19 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.
After the meeting, an official said that in the meeting, approval was also given to create a total of five posts of Superintendent of Police, Rural in five crime and communally sensitive districts of the state, East Champaran, Samastipur, Madhubani, Vaishali and Siwan district.
In the meeting, in principle approval was given for free transfer of 1243.45 acres of raiyat land in Vaishali district to the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India for the establishment of National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management on 100 acres of land which is under process for acquisition through Infrastructure Development Authority, Patna for expansion of industrial area. The Council of Directors, Infrastructure Development Authority, Bihar, Patna has been authorized to take the final decision on land selection.
The government has also approved the Chief Minister Bihar Environment Friendly Transport Employment Scheme. The main objective of the scheme is to reduce vehicle-borne pollution and ensure a share of at least 30 percent of electric vehicles in the total sales of new vehicles by the year 2030.
It will also support the global “EV30at30” campaign. The government believes that the scheme will increase acceptance of electric vehicles among the people. The facility of electric vehicles will be available for transportation in rural areas and employment opportunities will also be created through commercial electric vehicles.
The state government has also taken a big step towards making Bihar a leading state in the field of Artificial Intelligence. For this, Singapore organization “Global Finance and Technology Network” has been selected under “Bihar Artificial Intelligence Mission”.
According to the government, with the help of this institution, the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem, skill development and innovation will be strengthened in the state.
To strengthen the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem, skill development and innovation in the state, Global Finance and Technology Network, Singapore has been selected on the basis of nomination and administrative approval of a total amount of Rs 209 crore has also been given in the meeting for the implementation of Aryabhatta Drishti Project.
