ICC Rankings: Dominance of Indian players continues, Bumrah’s reign continues, Jaiswal-Gill also jump into top-10

Dubai: Jasprit Bumrah, the spearhead of India’s fast bowling attack, has retained his top position in the list of bowlers in the latest ICC Test rankings released on Wednesday. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are ranked eighth and ninth respectively in the batsmen’s list while former England Test captain Joe Root is at the top with 880 points.

Jaiswal has 750 marks. Gill has gained one place and has 730 points. Harry Brook is at second place in this list while he is followed by Australia’s Travis Head and Steve Smith.

India has not played a single match so far in the World Test Championship in 2026. The team played its last series at home against South Africa in November. Bumrah, who is topping the list of bowlers, has 879 points. The next best Indian bowler in this list is Mohammed Siraj who is at 12th position.

Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav are at 14th and 15th position respectively. Australia’s Mitchell Starc and Test captain Pat Cummins are at second and fourth positions respectively with an gain of one place each. New Zealand’s Matt Henry is in third place.
