Samajwadi Party MLA Ravidas Mehrotra condoled the demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Prateek Yadav and demanded a special investigation. Questioning the entire incident, he said that there were injury marks on Prateek Yadav’s body. Therefore our demand is that there should be an investigation.

SP MLA Ravidas Mehrotra, while talking to IANS, claimed that Prateek Yadav had died before reaching the hospital. ​He said, “I found out why the post-mortem of Prateek Yadav is being done. The doctor says that his death was not normal but happened under suspicious circumstances. That’s why the post-mortem is being done. I also came to know that there were injury marks on the body of Prateek Yadav.”

The SP MLA said, “All I can say is that he died under suspicious circumstances. He was young and used to work hard in the gym. He died before reaching the doctor and now his postmortem is being conducted. Generally, postmortem is not done in normal circumstances. Postmortem is done only under suspicious circumstances. Therefore, there should be an investigation as to what is the cause of death?”

Earlier, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Shaukat Ali demanded an investigation into the death of Prateek Yadav. “We have lost a young man. This matter should be investigated,” he said.

He said, “He was a young man who was serving the society, and now he is no more with us. It is a matter of great concern and sorrow for all of us. This is a very sad incident and all its aspects should be properly investigated. It should be found out as to what caused his demise. Whatever becomes clear in the investigation, it will be known to everyone.”

On the death of Prateek Yadav, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad said, “We received information early in the morning that Prateek Yadav is no more. Couldn’t believe it. This is a very sad and painful incident. I pay tribute to him with a sad heart. I pray that God gives strength to the bereaved family to bear such a great loss.”​
