James Cameron ’s latest cinematic spectacle, ' Avatar : Fire and Ash' is set to make its way to streaming platforms next month!

After successfully completing its six months in theatres, the film is now finally set for its digital debut. An official announcement was posted on the film's social media handle. The post announcing the film's OTT premiere stated, "Stream Avatar: Fire and Ash only on Disney+ June 24."

The announcement comes after the film amassed a staggering USD 1.49 billion worldwide, cementing its spot as the 16th-highest-grossing film of all time and the third-highest earner of 2025.

Released theatrically on December 19, 2025, the film, believed to be the final chapter in the Sully family saga, was off to a flying start, collecting USD 89.16 million in its domestic debut weekend. It crossed the billion-dollar milestone in under two weeks, reportedly driven by the film's strong international performance over its US performance.

'Avatar: Fire and Ash' synopsis

Set one year after Neteyam's tragic death, 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' follows Jake Sully, Neytiri, and their family living among the Metkayina clan. Their grief is violently interrupted when they encounter a new, aggressive Na'vi sect called the Ash People (or Mangkwan) led by the ruthless matriarch Varang.

The film's OTT debut comes amid buzz that the next chapters in the 'Avatar' saga - 'Avatar 4' and 'Avatar 5' - are in the works. The films that were announced severl years ago, are expected to hit theatres in 2029 and 2031.
