
Mahoba, 12 May. A case has been registered against Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi under several sections for making indecent remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and after registering the case at Mahoba Nagar police station, the police has started investigation. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has termed this comment as ‘unforgivable’.
Case registered on complaint of BJP district media in-charge
On the basis of the complaint given by BJP district media in-charge Satyendra Pratap Gupta, a case was registered at Mahoba Nagar police station at 2.05 am on Tuesday. In report number 0213, a case has been registered under sections 132, 189 (2), 352 and 196 (1) of BNS. In the FIR, the time of the incident has been stated to be between 12 noon to 1 am on May 11.
MP made objectionable remarks during the demonstration in the Collectorate premises
BJP leader Satyendra alleged in the complaint that Samajwadi Party workers had reached the Collectorate premises regarding issues to the electricity department. During this, MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi and his supporters raised slogans and demonstrated in front of the Collectorate gate. Due to this, traffic was disrupted and common people and government employees had to face problems.
It has been said in the complaint that the atmosphere of the campus remained affected for about an hour. During this, the MP made indecent and objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The complainant alleged that people’s sentiments were hurt by the MP calling the Prime Minister anti-national and the public atmosphere was spoiled.
MP Ajendra had also challenged BJP leaders to file a case.
It is said that MP Lodhi, while challenging the BJP, had also said, ‘If you want to file a case, then file it, we are not afraid.’ He had also accused the Central Government of working in the interest of industrialists, irregularities in smart meters and poor health services.
CM Yogi termed Lodhi’s remarks as unforgivable
The matter gained momentum when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reacted in the X post. He has described the MP’s remarks as unparliamentary, indecent and inexcusable. He also said that this is an insult to democratic norms and the mandate of 145 crore countrymen. The post also described it as political bad manners and disrespect for the decency of public life.
Meanwhile, Legislative Council member Jitendra Singh Sengar has termed the statement as condemnable and has demanded a public apology from the MP. According to police officials, the sections and viral videos recorded in the case are being investigated. Further legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
