On International Nurses Day, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal made a big announcement saying that now Nursing Sister will be called Senior Nursing Officer and Staff Nurse will be called Nursing Officer. Nursing staff were also honored in the program organized in Raipur.
Raipur. While honoring the nurses of the state on the occasion of International Nurses Day, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal announced a major change in the designation of the nursing cadre. Now 'Nursing Sister' will be known as 'Senior Nursing Officer' and 'Staff Nurse' will be known as 'Nursing Officer'.

This announcement was made during the International Nurses Day program organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital. A large number of nursing officers, nursing students and hospital officers and employees were present in the program.
Nursing staff honored on International Nurses Day
Addressing the program, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that the role of nurses is very important in the service and care of patients. He said that nurses are the backbone of the health system and they serve the patients with dedication day and night. He said that the nursing staff presents the biggest example of human sensitivity and spirit of service in the medical field. Nurses play the responsibility of caring for patients like family members.
Remembered the services of nurses during the Covid period
Recalling the difficult times of the Covid pandemic, the Health Minister said that even in challenging circumstances, the nursing staff worked with complete devotion and dedication. He said that nurses are like mothers to the patients, because they take care of them in every situation and also provide them mental support.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai government is strengthening health services
Expressing gratitude to Vishnu Dev Sai, the Health Minister said that the state government is continuously working towards improving health services. Facilities and arrangements pending for years are being completed rapidly so that patients can get better treatment.

On this occasion, the Health Minister congratulated the entire nursing staff including Senior Nursing Officer Dr. Reena Rajput, Neelima Sharma, Ranjana Singh Thakur, Suman Dewangan, Komeshwari Navrange, Pragati Satpute, Sheetal Soni and Namita Daniel and appreciated their work.
