Prime Video has officially confirmed two major updates for its fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Season 3 now has a fixed release date, and Season 4 has also been renewed even before Season 3 arrives. The announcement was made during Amazon MGM Studios’ annual Upfront presentation, where the platform shared new details about its long-running fantasy project.
Season 3 is set to premiere on November 11, 2026, and will continue the story that has already built a large global audience across two seasons.
A major focus of Season 3 will be Sauron’s attempt to forge the One Ring, which is central to the larger Tolkien storyline. The conflict is expected to raise tensions across regions like Lindon, Númenor, and other key kingdoms, with alliances breaking as darkness spreads.
