Virat Kohli, the India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter, was spotted observing Urvil Patel's explosive knock against Lucknow Super Giants moments before RCB's match against Mumbai Indians at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.
During RCB's warm-up match before facing Mumbai Indians, Kohli took a short break to rehydrate when his gaze fell on the replay of Urvil Patel's batting on a screen placed at the side. It was supposed to be a glance, but turned into minutes of him being hooked to highlights of the young kid's audacious knock.
Urvil played one of the best innings of the ongoing IPL season during Chennai Super Kings' crucial match against Lucknow Super Giants at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The young batter scored a fifty in just 13 balls and equaled the record of the fastest half-century in IPL history.

The right-handed batter started off in an aggressive fashion and attacked the LSG bowlers from the outset, putting the visitors under immense pressure. He hit five sixes in five consecutive deliveries and mauled every bowler who came his way.
The young batter smashed 65 off 23 deliveries, smacking the ball with clean hitting against the likes of Digvesh Rathi, Avesh Khan and even experienced pacer Mohammed Shami. Before Urvil started his assault, Sanju Samson had given CSK a good start with 28 off the first few balls at the top.
The match turned completely as Chennai Super Kings chased down the massive target of 204 with four balls to spare.

CSK Stay Alive In IPL 2026 Playoff Race
After the dismissal of Urvil, Shivam Dube and Prashant Veer remained calm and steered Chennai Super Kings home. Dube remained unbeaten on 15 off 7 deliveries, while Veer chipped in with an unbeaten 17 off 12 balls. Their partnership helped CSK to reach the target and register 2 important points to their name.
The win took Chennai Super Kings to the fifth place on the IPL 2026 points table with 12 points in 11 matches, and the playoff chances are still alive for them.
During the match, Kohli's celebration of Urvil's knock was another big highlight on social media with fans lauded the RCB star for enjoying the young talent's milestone performance before a crunch game against Mumbai Indians.
