Actor Divyenndu has opened about his experience working in Telugu cinema for the first time with Skinsadmitting that he feels embarrassed about not knowing Telugu yet during a candid interview with International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). The actor said that he found the language very difficult while filming the upcoming film.
“I’m embarrassed that I don’t know Telugu. People in South, specially in Hyderabad, they know Hindi, and I feel I should know their language,” Divyenndu said, adding that he had to rehearse every dialogue “line by line”. He said, “We North Indians mostly stay within our own bubble and do not pay attention to other languages.” Telugu was completely new to him; despite the challenges, he said that he now plans to start learning the language properly.
