Gurpreet, a resident of Amritsar and a former army man, who had become a serial killer by committing three murders one after the other, has been killed in a police encounter. became a criminal after army service

The truth that has come out in the police investigation is very shocking. Gurpreet Singh, who was killed in the encounter, was a resident of Amritsar, Punjab. He was a soldier in the Indian Army and retired from there in the year 2021. After retirement, he lived at his home for a long time, but his bad habit of drinking alcohol pushed him on the path of ruin. On April 29 this year, he came to Arrah district of Bihar to work as a security guard. There too he was fired from his job due to his alcohol addiction. After losing his job, he started living under deep mental stress and gradually transformed into a psycho killer.

Massacre in trains and hospital

Gurpreet started his series of murders on Sunday morning. First of all, he shot dead a passenger named Mangru near Sakaldiha station in the passenger train going from Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction to Tadighat. After this he threw the dead body on the track. While the police was still investigating the matter, on the night of Sunday and Monday he committed another incident in the Jammu Tawi Express. Here he shot Dinesh Sahu, who was going from Gaya to Lucknow, in the head and put him to death. His cruelty did not stop here. On Monday morning, he entered a hospital and shot dead an elderly woman, Laxmina Devi, who was undergoing treatment.

The villagers showed courage

After committing the third crime, when Gurpreet was trying to escape from the hospital, the villagers present there saw him. Without caring for their lives, the villagers surrounded him from all sides and ran and caught him. The villagers immediately informed the police, after which the team reached the spot and took him into custody. The police had also recovered the weapon used in the murder from him. During interrogation, the police were also surprised to know that Gurpreet had no previous dispute or acquaintance with any of his victims. He targeted people walking on the road just to vent his anger.

This is how the encounter ended

After his arrest, the police took Gurpreet to the places where he had committed the murders so that the crime scene could be recreated. Meanwhile, the vicious Gurpreet took the opportunity and snatched the service pistol of a policeman. He started firing at the police team and started running away from there. The police warned him to stop but he continued firing. In self-defence, the police also retaliated, in which Gurpreet was hit by bullets. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. With this encounter, the chapter of a dangerous psycho killer in Chandauli has come to an end. The police is now preparing a detailed report of this case.
