Abhishek Bachchan joins hands with Rahul Dravid as co-owners of European T20 Premier League team; fans cheer for 'King' star

Abhishek Bachchan left fans pleasantly surprised on Tuesday, when he was announced as the co-owner of a franchise in the upcoming European T20 Premier League (ETPL), with cricket legend Rahul Dravid .
The actor, who is currently working on the action film 'King' with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, showed off his villain's avatar, rocking a suit styled with a slick hairstyle and cool beard. Bachchan shared the photos with Rahul Dravid on his social media handle, which instantly earned applause from his sister Shweta Bachchan .

Abhishek Bachchan on ETPL aimsSpeaking to ANI, Bachchan, who already owns a Kabaddi team and is an active member of the celebrity football league, said the cricket league aims to establish itself as a world-class tournament in Europe while showcasing top international talent. He said in a statement, "The expectation, I believe, should be one, to have a world-class cricketing tournament in Europe. And I’m very happy to note that with the kind of people that have already been signed on in terms of players, I think that promise hopefully should come true."
“When you have some of the best cricketing talent that’s going to come and play, I think it kind of speaks a lot about the kind of intention that we have of what we’re trying to achieve,” he added.
The inaugural ETPL season will feature 33 matches across six city-based franchises representing Glasgow, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast and Rotterdam.
