CTET September 2026: Applications Open for the CTET September Exam—Check Exam Dates and Important Details..

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 session. Concurrently, the online application process has commenced today, May 11, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates may apply by visiting the official websites, ctet.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.

According to the information released by CBSE, the 22nd edition of CTET will be conducted on September 6, 2026. The examination will be held across 132 cities nationwide and will be conducted in 27 languages.

**Last Date for Application**

Candidates will be able to submit their online applications until 11:59 PM on June 10, 2026. The deadline for the submission of the application fee has also been set for the same date.

CBSE has also clarified that if the volume of applications is high, the examination may also be conducted on September 5, 2026.

**No Option to Choose Exam City**
The Board has clarified that candidates will not be able to select their preferred exam city while applying. The allocation of the examination center and city will be done by CBSE on a random basis. Once an exam city has been allotted, no requests for changes will be entertained.

**Detailed Information Bulletin to be Released Soon**
CBSE has stated that an Information Bulletin containing detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, syllabus, examination fees, languages, and exam cities will be released shortly on the official website.

Candidates are advised to carefully read the entire notification before applying. Applications will be accepted exclusively through the online mode.
