He is a very calm person and used to concentrate only on his work on the set. He used to come, shoot his scene and then go and sit in a corner.”
The actress told that Sanjay Dutt also helped the new artists a lot during the shooting. He said, “Whenever there was a need for improvement in my acting, he used to explain very lovingly that son, I don’t have to do it like this. His behavior was very gentle and supportive.”
Disha was scared after seeing Afzal Khan’s look
Sanjay Dutt has played the character of Afzal Khan in the film, for which his look was made quite powerful and scary. Disha Pardeshi told that when she saw Sanjay Dutt in Afzal Khan’s costume and makeup for the first time, she was really scared. She said, “The biggest thing was that he was Sanjay Dutt himself and he had to play the character of Afzal Khan. When I saw him in Afzal Khan’s costume, I was really scared.” According to Disha, Sanjay Dutt had entered his character so deeply that his screen presence on the set looked very impressive.
The strangulation scene was revealed
During the interview, Disha Pardeshi also mentioned an intense scene of the film, in which Afzal Khan’s character touches her cheek and then strangles her. He told, “In one scene, Afzal Khan touches my cheek and then strangles me. During the shooting, Sanjay sir actually strangled me so that the scene looked more real.” However, Disha also said that as soon as the scene ended, Sanjay Dutt immediately apologized to her. He said, “As soon as the shot was over, he immediately apologized. He is a very gentleman and a very polite person.”
Death scene was shot without VFX and body double
Disha Pardeshi also revealed about a difficult death scene of the film. He told that shooting this scene was challenging, but it became easy because of the support of the director and the team. He said, “When the director is understanding and helpful, even difficult scenes seem easy. Riteish Deshmukh’s trust boosted my confidence.” The actress told that this scene was shot in a completely realistic manner. He said, “In that scene we neither used duplicates, nor VFX nor AI. Everything was shot realistically.”
