Kolkata. The new Chief Minister of West Bengal, Subhendu Adhikari announced many important decisions in his first cabinet meeting after forming the government. After the meeting he said that now the central government’s major health scheme Ayushman Bharat will be implemented in the state. Along with this, other schemes of the Center were also said to be started in Bengal in a phased manner.

The Chief Minister said that it will be the priority of the government to implement other central schemes including Jan Arogya Yojana to provide better health facilities to the people of the state. He also thanked the Election Commission, central forces, police administration and voters who cooperated in the election process.
Big statement on those who lost their lives in violence
Referring to the people killed during the election conflict, Shubhendu Adhikari said that if the victims’ families want, the government will start investigating these cases. He claimed that 321 people had lost their lives during the political conflict.
Process of land transfer started in border areas

A major decision regarding border security was also taken in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that the process of land transfer in the border areas is being started with immediate effect. The government aims to complete this process within the next 45 days, so that the work to border security can be expedited. These decisions of the government are being seen as the beginning of a new administrative direction and better coordination with the Centre.
