New Delhi. A sensational record has been made in IPL 2026, which has shocked the entire cricketing world. During the match played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the figure of 1000 sixes was crossed in just 53 matches this season, which is considered to be the fastest achievement in the history of IPL.

This match was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where complete dominance of the batsmen was seen. According to reports, the figure of sixes had never been reached at such a fast pace before in this season. Earlier this record was made in the 2024 season, when 1000 sixes were completed in 57 matches, but 2026 left that too behind.

In this match, the rain of sixes put the bowlers under complete pressure. Especially young batsman Urvil Patel changed the atmosphere with his explosive innings, where he continuously hit big shots in the initial balls and increased the pace of record breaking sixes. It was because of his aggressive batting that important moment came when the 1000th six of the season was completed.

Overall, this match was not just a win-loss but an indication of the changing trend in T20 cricket, where the dominance of aggressive batting and big shots is continuously increasing and the challenge for the bowlers is becoming more difficult.
