Rahul Dravid has bought a team in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) to be held in Ireland. Rahul Dravid has become the co-owner of Dublin Guardians. Dravid is part of an Indian company which has taken over the team. This team will be known as Dublin Guardians. Let us tell you that former off-spinner R Ashwin has been made the captain of this team.

Rahul Dravid has played 164 test matches and 344 ODIs for India. He was also the head coach of the team from 2021 to 2024. His joining this league is a big thing. Rahul Dravid is also very excited to play this new role. Dravid said, 'It is really wonderful to be involved in this. When I heard about it for the first time, I found it quite exciting. I have always loved the passion and energy for cricket in Europe. The passion with which players play the game is amazing. Rahul Dravid said that he has worked with young players at the grassroots level and he is familiar with their passion. Ashwin became captain
Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will captain the Guardians. He retired from Test cricket in December 2024 and has also retired from IPL. Because of this they can play leagues in the rest of the world. Let us tell you that ETPL is being organized in collaboration with the cricket boards of Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands. This league includes 6 teams from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is starting this league. He will run this league in collaboration with an Indian private company Rules Sports Tech. This tournament will be played from 26 August to 20 September, the matches of the first season of which will be held in The Hague and Dublin.
