Dwarkadhish Temple: Gujarat is situated on the banks of the Arabian Sea. The city of Dwarka here is very ancient. It is associated with Shri Krishna. There is a mythological belief that at this holy place, Shri Krishna established his city after leaving Mathura. The Dwarkadhish temple here is counted among the most famous Krishna temples of the country. This temple is also called Jagat Mandir. Dwarkadhish temple is said to be about 2500 years old.

It is a religious belief that Shri Krishna's great grandson Vajranabha was the first to get this temple constructed. Later the temple was rebuilt several times by different kings. The grand temple visible today was built around the 15th-16th century. This temple situated on the sea shore attracts a lot of people. The flag flies against the wind

This flag is changed several times a day and the tradition of hoisting it has been going on for centuries. The special thing is that the flag on the top of the temple is always seen waving in the opposite direction of the wind. People consider this a miracle. This five-storey temple rests on about 72 pillars. Its high peak is visible from a distance. Here Lord Krishna is worshiped as Dwarkadhish i.e. the king of Dwarka. There is a beautiful stone statue of the Lord in the temple.
