Directive 8020 is the latest narrative game to arrive from the studio behind Until Dawn and The Quarry, and it's set to launch on all platforms on May 12, 2026.

Set in space, players will take control of five crew members of the Cassiopeia. After encountering an alien organism that mimics its prey, the crew must do everything it takes to survive, tasking the player with making incredibly tricky decisions along the way.

Directive 8020 release time

Directive 8020 will be released at 3pm BST on May 12, 2026. This is across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Players can pre-load the game right now with the files becoming available on May 10. It's about 40GB in size, so those with slower internet connections might want to get the download going sooner rather than later to ensure they're ready for the release time.
