There are still a few days left for Team India to resume action in international cricket. Only after IPL 2026, Indian players will once again take the field in blue or white jersey. But despite this break from international cricket, Team India's dominance in the rankings continues. The International Cricket Council has done an annual update in the team ranking of One Day International and in this also Team India is number-1.
Team India on top in ODI rankings
Test a few days ago and then T20 International ranking After the announcement of the annual change in ODI rankings, ICC also announced the ODI rankings on 11 May. Every year in the month of May, ICC releases updates in the rankings, in which points for matches older than 3 years are completely eliminated. The matches of the last one year, i.e. from May 2025 to April 2026, get full 100 percent weightage, whereas the points of the matches of the last two years (in this case 2023 to 2025) get 50 percent weightage.

Many times, due to these changes, there is upheaval in the rankings. But this time it did not happen and Team India has retained its first position in the ODI rankings. Team India currently remains number-1 with 118 points. At the second place is New Zealand which is 5 points behind Team India. Kiwi team has 113 points. At third place is the current world champion Australia, which has 109 points. That means no change has been seen in the top-3.
Pakistan's loss
South Africa has definitely jumped one place and entered the fourth position and Pakistan has suffered a loss due to this. Pakistan, which was eliminated in the first round of the Champions Trophy in its own home last year, has slipped to fifth place. Talking about other teams, Sri Lanka is at sixth, Afghanistan at 7th, England at 8th, Bangladesh at 9th and two-time world champion West Indies at 10th.
