According to the victim, she came in contact with a business family of Sambhal district through a marriage site. Talks progressed between the two families and later the marriage took place. The woman says that her husband's behavior had changed in the initial days of their marriage. The first night her husband told her in clear words that she would have to "live as a maid" and that he had relations with many girls.
