While she excels in her career, she also treasures family moments, supported by her husband, Abhinav Shukla. However, the decision to join (2026) was not an easy one, as her primary concern revolves around being away from her children.  

What Terrifies Rubina Dilaik More Than Stunts?

    In a candid interview with Telly Talk India, Rubina expressed her fears about being separated from her children during the show. She stated, "Now thoughts and understanding pass through children. So that’s why I took three months to say yes to this show because now the biggest fear is how will I stay away from my children or the children from me for so long? After that then the talk of fear comes. So the first decision was this." When discussing her husband's encouragement, she revealed that Abhinav reminded her of the rarity of such opportunities and assured her they could manage family responsibilities together. This support gave her the confidence to take the plunge. "As a working mother, if I am not able to pursue my dreams while supporting my family, then I'm not living to the fullest. For that, you have to understand the balance. I am extremely grateful that he understands this and supports it," she added.

    Rubina shared that motherhood represents a new beginning, requiring adjustments on physical, mental, and emotional levels. She acknowledged that reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi bring forth significant fears, making her participation even more challenging as a mother. She noted, "Now in this journey what I have lost and what I have gained, that will be known in Khatron Ke Khiladi because there the stunts are larger than life. You don’t jump from an 80-floor building in real life. You don’t go swimming in open oceans. You don’t live among lions. So that fear changes a lot when you become a mother. So that’s why I took so much time to say yes to this show, because if I am doing any reality show and there is nothing new that I can offer to my audience, I might as well not do it."
