Affordable LDA Housing Schemes 2026: Opportunity to buy a low budget house in Lucknow. 1BHK and 2BHK flats are available in LDA's Atal Nagar Housing Scheme at easy installments and low interest rates. Know complete information about application process, price, facilities and last date.
For a common man, buying his dream home is one of the biggest and emotional accomplishments in life. In today's time, when the prices of flats and lands of private builders are skyrocketing, dreaming of owning a house in the capital Lucknow sometimes seems beyond the budget. But, if you have the right information at the right time, this dream can come true at very little money and with full government protection.

The current housing schemes of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) have emerged as a great option for the middle and lower income group. Let us understand how you can book your flat in Lucknow at extremely affordable rates.
Atal Nagar Housing Scheme (Phase 2): A golden opportunity
If you are looking for a house in Lucknow, the best option at present is LDA's 'Atal Nagar Housing Scheme'. Re-registration has been opened for 630 vacant flats in the second phase of this project located at Devpur Para, Rajajipuram.
According to the data, there are two categories available:
- BHK (LIG): There are 539 flats available in this category. Its carpet area is approximately 30 square meters and its starting price has been kept at only Rs 9.82 lakh.
- BHK(MIG): 91 flats of this category are available. Their carpet area is approximately 54.95 square meters and the price is around Rs 20 lakh.
Easy installments and reduced interest rates (New relief from LDA)
Recently, LDA has made major changes in the payment rules, giving great relief to home buyers. Now LDA flats will be available on easy installments of 10 years. Additionally, interest rates have been reduced from 9 percent to 7 percent to reduce the financial burden on buyers.
Payment is now even easier:
- While applying, you will have to pay 10 percent of the total price of the flat as registration fee. (For reserved categories like SC/ST this amount is only 2.5 percent).
- If your name appears in the lottery, you will have to deposit 15 percent of the amount within 45 days of receiving the allotment letter.
- Instead of paying the remaining 75 percent amount in lump sum, you can repay it in 8 quarterly installments within two years.
Facilities that give competition to private builders
Budget housing does not at all mean that amenities are compromised. Under Atal Nagar Yojana, 15 towers of 12 to 19 storey high-rise buildings are being built. In these towers you will get modern facilities like 24-hour electricity and water supply, power backup, working lift, underground sewerage system, play zone for children and dedicated parking for two-wheeler and four-wheeler.
Application Process and Important Dates
There is one principle in the real estate market – action taken at the right time. The application process for this scheme is completely online.
- Last date: The registrations have started from 18th April 2026 and the last date is 17th May 2026.
- How to apply: Application can be made only through 'Ongoing Lottery Registration' by visiting the official website of LDA (registration.ldalucknow.in).
things to keep in mind
Investing in government schemes is safe, but some precautions are definitely advised:
- lottery system: The allotment is completely transparent and based on computerized lottery system. No broker or agent can get you a 'guaranteed flat', so avoid fraud.
- lock-in period: From an investment perspective, keep in mind that a 'lock-in period' applies to LDA flats. This means that immediately after allotment you cannot sell it in the open market for profits.
- Time of possession: The project is registered with UP RERA and is officially targeted for completion by June 2030. So if you are planning to shift immediately, then keep this time limit in mind.
Owning your own home in Lucknow is no longer just a dream. Thanks to LDA's transparent lottery system and easy installments, today even a common man can become the owner of his own house in a city like Lucknow. Time is short, so without waiting for the last date, ensure your registration today by visiting the official portal.
