‘Cabinet expansion done to pass time’, Akhilesh Yadav’s taunt on Yogi government

UP News: The cabinet expansion took place in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday (May 10), in which a total of six new faces have been included in the cabinet. Along with this, two existing ministers have also been promoted. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s reaction regarding this expansion has also come to light. Akhilesh Yadav tauntedly wrote on social media that “something has to be done to pass the time.”

Commenting further, Akhilesh Yadav said that in the cabinet expansion, the role of actual decisions is limited and only instructions are followed, he also said sarcastically that in the current system the role of the Chief Minister has become only that of a messenger.

Reason for behavior attributed to greed and selfishness

The SP chief also said that the public is questioning whether the “film” will be watched sitting in the front or sitting at the back, and people have advised that it should be watched carefully, as some lessons can be learned from it. He further talked about the change in morality and behavior and said that only the greed and selfishness present within a person affects his conduct, whereas positive change is possible through sacrifice and philanthropy.

Swearing in ceremony completed at Raj Bhavan

On the other hand, in view of the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has tried to strike a political and social balance by expanding his cabinet. In the swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, the Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers.

In this extension, former BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Choudhary took oath as minister. Apart from this, Manoj Pandey, who left SP and joined BJP, has also been made a minister. Along with these, Surendra Diler, Krishna Paswan, Hansraj Vishwakarma and Kailash Rajput also took oath as ministers.
