Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fought their way back into the contest by making smart use of the middle overs against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 10. One of the turning points came in the 13th over when CSK produced a brilliant run-out to tighten their grip on the match.
Bowling the over, Akeal Hosein delivered the first ball to Akshat Raghuwanshi, who flicked it towards deep midwicket. There was clearly no second run available, but Raghuwanshi attempted a risky second, putting Aiden Markramunder pressure at the non-striker’s end.
Dewald Brevis reacted quickly, collected the ball cleanly, and fired a superb throw at the bowler’s end to catch Markram well short of his crease. Markram departed for six runs as LSG lost their fifth wicket at a crucial stage of the innings.
