action

  • First of all, wash and peel the mangoes and separate the pulp. Grind this gar in a mixer until it becomes a smooth paste.
  • Add the mango paste to a heavy bottomed pan. Mix sugar in it and cook on low flame.
  • Keep stirring the mixture constantly so that it does not stick to the pan. When the mixture starts to thicken a little, add cardamom powder.
  • Lightly grease a large plate or tray with ghee. Spread the prepared mixture on it in a thin layer.
  • Keep this plate to dry in hot sun. The upper part will be dry in about 1 to 2 days.
  • After the first layer dries, you can spread some mixture again. This makes aam papad thicker and tastier.
  • Once completely dry, cut the mango papad into pieces and store in an airtight container.
  • Aam papad makes a great choice for kids’ lunch box, on the go or as a light sweet snack. If a little black salt is sprinkled on it, the taste will open up more.
